This object, is a unique exhibition space. The first museum of its kind for contemporary art, which was carried out by design companies under the leadership of the architectural bureau OMA with Rem Koolhaas – successful Dutch architect and world-famous urbanist, winner of the Pritzker Prize.

The company “WernerSobek” participated from the Russian side, which developed design solutions and unique solutions for developing a museum climate with minimal intrusion into the exhibition space.

Unique technical solutions were used in the process, such as the use of translucent facades from the Italian company Galina, where all the heating devices were specially hidden, that is, there were no heating devices inside the interior.

For that, to reduce any visual noise throughout all floors were carried out 50 kilometers of heated floors and the glazed brick of the post-Soviet era was also restored. Restoration of the mosaic walls was also carried out. Restoration work was carried out by Italian specialists.

The museum climate was guaranteed by ventilation units from the Wulf company and Italian micro-perforated air ducts from the Sintra company., which made it possible to distribute air evenly over a long distance and guarantee a museum climate.

One of the interesting solutions – This was the first time the Alukor panel was used and we manufactured a hydraulic lifting mechanism for the gate, which have weight 40 tons.

This object, besides that, which is an art object and an architectural idea from one of the leading advanced architectural agencies, studio OMA, he also always combined a number of unique technical solutions, applied at that time. The property was shortlisted for the Mies van der Rohe Award.
